nded and destroyed\, but a prize to be won and cherished\, in Jesus' might
y name  \nPsalms 124:6-: Blessed be the LORD\, who hath not given us as a
prey to their teeth.\n{Deuteronomy 1:39} \nP-S- PLEASE CHECK OUR CHURCH
FACEBOOK GROUP PAGE FOR DAILY PRAYER FOCUS UPDATES.\nSTARTING TODAY JAN-06
WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO READ ONE CHAPTER OF THE BOOK OF JOHN ALONG WITH YOUR
OTHER PRAYER MATERIALS.\nGOD BLESS YOU AS YOU DO THIS\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\
n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJOHN 1-\nThe Word Became Flesh\n\n1 In the beginnin
g was the Word\, and the Word was with God\, and the Word was God.\n\n2 He
was in the beginning with God.\n\n3 All things were made through him\, an
d without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life\,[a]
and the life was the light of men.\n\n5 The light shines in the darkness\
, and the darkness has not overcome it.\n\n6 There was a man sent from God
\, whose name was John.\n\n7 He came as a witness\, to bear witness about
the light\, that all might believe through him. 8 He was not the light\, b
ut came to bear witness about the light.\n\n9 The true light\, which gives
light to everyone\, was coming into the world.\n\n10 He was in the world\
, and the world was made through him\, yet the world did not know him.\n\n
11 He came to his own\, and his own people[c] did not receive him.\n\n12 B
ut to all who did receive him\, who believed in his name\, he gave the rig
ht to become children of God\,\n\n13 who were born\, not of blood nor of t
he will of the flesh nor of the will of man\, but of God.\n\n14 And the Wo
rd became flesh and dwelt among us\, and we have seen his glory\, glory as
of the only Son[d] from the Father\, full of grace and truth.\n\n15 (John
bore witness about him\, and cried out\, “This was he of whom I said\,
‘He who comes after me ranks before me\, because he was before me.’”
)\n\n16 For from his fullness we have all received\, grace upon grace.\n\n
17 For the law was given through Moses\; grace and truth came through Jesu
s Christ.\n\n18 No one has ever seen God\; the only God\, who is at the Fa
ther's side\, he has made him known.\n\nThe Testimony of John the Baptist\
n19 And this is the testimony of John\, when the Jews sent priests and Lev
ites from Jerusalem to ask him\, “Who are you?”\n\n20 He confessed\, a
nd did not deny\, but confessed\, “I am not the Christ.”\n\n21 And the
y asked him\, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said\, “I am not.”
“Are you the Prophet?” And he answered\, “No.”\n\n22 So they said
to him\, “Who are you? We need to give an answer to those who sent us. W
hat do you say about yourself?”\n\n23 He said\, “I am the voice of one
crying out in the wilderness\, ‘Make straight[h] the way of the Lord\,
’ as the prophet Isaiah said.”\n\n24 (Now they had been sent from the
Pharisees.) 25 They asked him\, “Then why are you baptizing\, if you are
neither the Christ\, nor Elijah\, nor the Prophet?”\n\n26 John answered
them\, “I baptize with water\, but among you stands one you do not know
\,\n\n27 even he who comes after me\, the strap of whose sandal I am not w
orthy to untie.”\n\n28 These things took place in Bethany across the Jor
dan\, where John was baptizing.\n\nBehold\, the Lamb of God\n29 The next d
ay he saw Jesus coming toward him\, and said\, “Behold\, the Lamb of God
\, who takes away the sin of the world!\n\n30 This is he of whom I said\,
‘After me comes a man who ranks before me\, because he was before me.’
\n\n31 I myself did not know him\, but for this purpose I came baptizing w
ith water\, that he might be revealed to Israel.”\n\n32 And John bore wi
tness: “I saw the Spirit descend from heaven like a dove\, and it remain
ed on him.\n\n33 I myself did not know him\, but he who sent me to baptize
with water said to me\, ‘He on whom you see the Spirit descend and rema
in\, this is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’\n\n34 And I have see
n and have borne witness that this is the Son of God.”\n\nJesus Calls th
e First Disciples\n35 The next day again John was standing with two of his
disciples\,\n\n36 and he looked at Jesus as he walked by and said\, “Be
hold\, the Lamb of God!”\n\n37 The two disciples heard him say this\, an
d they followed Jesus.\n\n38 Jesus turned and saw them following and said
to them\, “What are you seeking?” And they said to him\, “Rabbi” (
which means Teacher)\, “where are you staying?”\n\n39 He said to them\
, “Come and you will see.” So they came and saw where he was staying\,
and they stayed with him that day\, for it was about the tenth hour.\n\n4
0 One of the two who heard John speak and followed Jesus was Andrew\, Simo
n Peter's brother.\n\n41 He first found his own brother Simon and said to
him\, “We have found the Messiah” (which means Christ).\n\n42 He broug
ht him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said\, “You are Simon the son o
f John. You shall be called Cephas” (which means Peter\n\nJesus Calls Ph
ilip and Nathanael\n43 The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. He fou
nd Philip and said to him\, “Follow me.”\n\n44 Now Philip was from Bet
hsaida\, the city of Andrew and Peter.\n\n45 Philip found Nathanael and sa
id to him\, “We have found him of whom Moses in the Law and also the pro
phets wrote\, Jesus of Nazareth\, the son of Joseph.”\n\n46 Nathanael sa
id to him\, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to h
im\, “Come and see.”\n\n47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and s
aid of him\, “Behold\, an Israelite indeed\, in whom there is no deceit!
”\n\n48 Nathanael said to him\, “How do you know me?” Jesus answered
him\, “Before Philip called you\, when you were under the fig tree\, I
saw you.”\n\n49 Nathanael answered him\, “Rabbi\, you are the Son of G
od! You are the King of Israel!”\n\n50 Jesus answered him\, “Because I
said to you\, ‘I saw you under the fig tree\,’ do you believe? You wi
ll see greater things than these.”\n\n51 And he said to him\, “Truly\,
truly\, I say to you\,[m] you will see heaven opened\, and the angels of
God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”\n\nNumbers 14:31-: But
your little ones\, which ye said should be a prey\, them will I bring in\,
and they shall know the land which ye have despised.\n\n{Deuteronomy 1:39
-: Moreover your little ones\, which ye said should be a prey\, and your c
hildren\, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil\, they
shall go in thither\, and unto them will I give it\, and they shall posses
 s it.}\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
