Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,
Hebrews 12:1 New International Version

Sometimes this life becomes difficult, Heartache, illness, failures, turmoil and so many other obstacles come our way. As Christians we should count all this as gain,

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you] ,
1 Peter 5:10 KJV

as a means for us to draw closer to Jesus. As we draw closer to Jesus we allow God to prove to us that He is greater than our situation, we allow the stage to be set for miracles. We will see healing, abundance, Love that only God can provide. We can become that new creation Paul teaches us about.

So often we end up separating our church self, from work self and even to complicate things more our at home self. Jesus wants to walk with us in all these aspects of our lives.

Age can and will catch up to us all, and as Paul says we run the race. I was inspired by the two old runners in the video. They have not given up even at an age where walking is considered a blessing.

48 On that same day the Lord told Moses, 49 “Go up into the Abarim Range to Mount Nebo in Moab, across from Jericho, and view Canaan, the land I am giving the Israelites as their own possession. 50 There on the mountain that you have climbed you will die and be gathered to your people, just as your brother Aaron died on Mount Hor and was gathered to his people. 51 This is because both of you broke faith with me in the presence of the Israelites at the waters of Meribah Kadesh in the Desert of Zin and because you did not uphold my holiness among the Israelites. 52 Therefore, you will see the land only from a distance; you will not enter the land I am giving to the people of Israel.”
Deuteronomy 32 NIV

I see an Old Moses running up the side of Mount Nebo to meet his " death " excited that he has run his race together with God, Yes he made mistakes along the way, don't we all. Only Jesus was Perfect.  Moses's journey with God would now continue in heaven in God's presence.

Don't give up God is always with you, And if you asked Jesus into your heart, Jesus lives within you, and you will run this race called life together.
