As we celebrate the birth of the Prince of Peace this year let us take the time to remember why He came and what He stood for. He came to bring man peace, He came to reconcile man with his maker and heavenly Father God. I believe the best way to honour the Prince of Peace is to make peace with all men.(Hebrews 12:14 - Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord) Jesus came to reconcile man to God and unite men as one big family. Let us emulate Him this season as we reconcile with those who have hurt us by forgiving one another.

As a church we are experiencing dynamic growth as we learn to love our brethren purposefully and intentionally as we grow in the revelation of Christ love for us all. This is loving our neighbours and families unconditionally as Christ would have us do. Loving them with no strings attached, loving them with no hidden agenda or angels. As we allow the Holy Spirit to love people through us, we are starting to see a positive shift in the right direction amongst us, Praise the Lord! Through the help of the Holy Spirit we have been able to reach out to people and families in our community and have seen the positive impact of our church family in our town.

Through the help of the Holy Spirit we as a church are learning to look beyond people’s faults and see their needs for the Savior Jesus Christ thereby creating an atmosphere of conviction and not condemnation as we come together everyday to worship under the banner of Christ Jesus’ love. Not by might or by power but through the help of the Holy Spirit Who has shed abroad His love in our hearts.

We ran with God’s love abroad and joyfully shared His love in Africa. Despite the economic hardship, the Lord has continuedto use us to be a blessing to the orphans and widows in Nigeria and other parts of Africa. (We gave of ourselves not because we have to, but because we wanted to.)

My prayers is, that the Holy Spirit helping us, we shall do even more in the coming years if the Lord tarries.

I would like to challenge all of us to go out there and offer our families, friends and our enemies the gift of forgiveness. Even as Jesus on the cross asked the Father to forgive those who nailed Him to the cross and offering forgiveness to a thief on the cross with Him who was guilty as charged. The whole world is groaning in pain like never before as we listen to the news andwe see on social media platforms. The call is for us to be the light in the midst of darkness. Through Christ let us become the hope of God to this dying and troubled world as we shine the light of God’s love through love and forgiveness.

For some of us reading this letter, I know You have been hurt deeply and betrayed by those whom you loved and trusted. I know you’ve been stabbed in the back several times this year and the years before. I know some of your prayers were not answered or, so it seems.

I know you didn’t get all you asked of the Lord in prayers this year and may be the years before.

I know but above all God knows and trust me, He is not done with you yet.

I know you are still hurting from the lost of your loved ones.

I know you are still hurting from the loss of your job.

I know you are yet to get over that bankruptcy.

I know that child is still not yet serving the Lord.

I know you are still dealing with a lot of unanswered questions and prayers.

The why did this happen? Why did that happen? And why didn’t it happen for me even after I have prayed and done all I know how to do. Even with all the unanswered questions and more, I want to challenge you and I to take the noble path of forgiveness like our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  In pain and brokenness of His body, soul and spirit, He still found in Himself the inner strength to forgive His tormentors and also offered the gift of restoration to the guilty and reconciliation and adoption to the lonely and abandoned.

Let us be like our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in our actions and deeds this season and beyond.

Let us be God’s voice to the lonely and broken in spirit this season and beyond.

Let us be God’s hands to lift up the downcast and downtrodden this season and beyond.

Let us be God’s hands that pull people out of the pit of despair and depression.

Let us be God’s voice of reconciliation and restoration.

Let us be God’s hearts that will forgive the guilty this season and beyond.

Let us be God’s light that will shine in the dark places of this world especially amongst our family and friends.

Let us be God’s salt that will season a bitter, broken and hurting soul this season and beyond.

Let us give our family and friends a reason to believe again in the goodness of Christ Jesus.

Let us be God’s answer to someone’s prayers this season and beyond.

Let us be the sons and daughters of God that the world is waiting for their manifestation.

(Romans 8:19 - For the earnest expectation of the creature waitsfor the manifestation of the sons of God)

Let us manifest to the world as true sons and daughters of God through the power of love.

Let us manifest to the world as sons and daughters of God through the power of forgiveness.

Step into your season of full manifestation as sons and daughters of The Most High God. Walk in the power of compassion, kindness, love and forgiveness. As we do this, I pray the Lord, shall crown the rest of our days, months and years on earth with the fatness of heaven. Which shall translate into multiple salvation stories of our loved ones.

(Psalms 65:11 - Thou crown the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness)

Merry Christmas and a blessed and glorious New Year & New Season! God bless you.
