I GOT IT   John 20:24,25 Now Thomas (also known as Didymus[a]), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.” But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.” 26 A eight days later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”   Let’s look at these verses. They have always been seen in a negative way. Thomas that wouldn’t believe until He say Jesus himself. Let’s try to see these in a different light. What do you think it would have been like to hold out until you touched Jesus? That you wanted the same experience as the others? You didn’t want to here it through the grapevine? That you wanted your own personal experience that would transform your life? That would help you see The Lord and experience Him personally yourself. How many of us are living on experiences of other people and have never pushed into experience this Jesus in a way that would change your life forever? To have a personal invitation from Jesus our Lord to touch and feel his wounds so you would never doubt again? To discover that all the time, these last 3 years you have touch, talked, ate, slept and been with God The Lord. What impact would an encounter with Jesus do for you? Not that you are doubting, but need that encounter, which Jesus knows which kind and how you would get it, and keep pushing in to have an encounter you will never forget. Yes in this encounter Jesus tells Thomas to stop doubting, but what if you believed and said Jesus appeared to you, He has healed you, He has spoke to you, He has showed me, He has moved upon me – I want the same encounter. I want to experience Him just as much. See no one else touched His scares just Thomas. And in Mark 16:14 it says that Jesus rebuked all disciples for their unbelief and hardness of heart. So it was not just Thomas doubting, but all. It seems that sometimes unless we look and connect all the verses in the gospels we discover each one sees things just a little bit different. So lets this Easter/Passover push in to our own encounter with the one that paid such a high price for us. The one that settled all the past, dealt with the enemy, removed our guilt and shame, the one Who loves unconditionally and waits for us to accept it, the one who cares and understands. May we ask the Lord for our own encounter. To get in the secret place and not leave until we have been satisfied by the Almighty God or encounters. Let no one or anything stand in the way of this. If you struggle with depression, suicide, loss, anger, despair, discouragement, life, loneliness, pornography, sex, divorce and so much more – let’s encounter the one and only one that can set you free. Don’t let the enemy tell you lies and believe them. This Passover, let the Lord of the Passover come to you and see you and show you the TRUE YOU. For too long we have allowed the lies of the enemy into our lives by our thoughts, doubts, lack of knowledge and all other ways. So arise to the challenge of setting yourself free with Jesus this Easter. God bless your encounter and the light of the Truth come flooding your life.
